My Yard

These were taken last May

I bought this 1912 Craftsman cottage about 6 years ago and it has a wonderful mature yard and garden. I have tried to enhance it and change only a few things. I have added a pergola type structure over the deck in hopes of some shade since it faces West. My girls gave me several wisteria on Mother's Day about 4 years ago and that has added to the shade, for sure. It's getting better every year.

The hedge was only a few feet high when I moved in but I have let it grow to good height for some privacy...after living in the country for 25+ years, I felt I needed that. Hedges are wonderful but take alot of trimming...a minimum of 3 times a year and it costs $$$. If I was younger and stronger, I would do it myself. That's the trouble, I want to do everything myself.

This is pre trimming last summer...a big mess.Looking at a nice sunset that you can't see.....

Sold, at long last!

Hoping the new owners will love it as much as the sellers did. It's always hard when a seller becomes your friend over the course of the transaction ....and then they move away! Whether you are working with a buyer or a seller, you enter into a relationship, sometimes good and sometimes not so good, but I try to make it a good one. We are all working towards the same goal......!
